I am still working on improving my bread skills and my week works out to baking, spending a few days eating the bread, then a couple days to ‘rest” (I don’t want to burn out the family on bread, as we’re not huge bread eaters), and then I experiment with another loaf.
I have been learning to bake bread and started from scratch with a Kitchenaid mixer and baking in the oven. The first couple times went very well. I have baked a couple loaves and a tasty baguette (that flattened out and looked more like a chiabatta).
As I continued to read about various methods for baking bread and different tips and techniques it seemed that many bread bakers used a bread machine to take care of the mixing, kneading and rising portion of the process.
I had been looking at the Zojirushi, but was hesitant to buy one since it was over $225.00 from the reputable stores and about $100 for a used one on Craigslist.
